1.  Application Requirements
Q: Are there any application form need to be completed by the foreign students?
A: Yes, please visit our website www.mm.feb.ugm.ac.id. From the web page, click International, choose Incoming, choose Application Form to read the form; Download and fill it out then send it either electronically or by post mail to Office of International Affairs.

Q: How do I know that my application is accepted?
A: Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) through its International Office will issue a letter of acceptance after we receive the complete application documents as soon as possible (approximately not later than two weeks).

Q: What are the other required documents and requirements?
A: Below is the list of documents:
a. Curriculum vitae
b. Current academic transcript at masters (graduate or postgraduate level) program
c. Copy of passport clearly showing name, birth date, passport number and its validity
d. Nomination letter from your home institution if you are nominated as a participant of student exchange program at MMUGM

2. Credits
Q: What is the minimum number of credits students are able to take?
A: There is no minimum credit but you are recommended to take not less than 9 credits.

Q: What is the maximum number of credits students are able to take?
A : Fifteen (15) Trimester Credit Units (TCU).

Q: What is the credit unit to hour equivalent?
A:  At MMUGM one credit unit means you will have 50 minutes of contact with
the lecturer in the class. If one subject has 3 credit units it means it
has 3x50 = 150 minutes contact hours in class per week. In one trimester (4
months), it will have 3x4x4= 48 contact units including the mid term and final term exams.
As a comparison, a course with 3 TCU has 8.37 ECTS while a course with 2 TCU worth’s 5.58 ECTS.

3.    Tuition
Q: Should incoming students have to pay tuition fees?
A: Incoming students from our exchange program partners are exempted from tuition fees. Students from other universities are subject to pay the tuition fees either to join short course program or degree program. On the International web page, go to Incoming Students, choose Tuition.

4.    Buddy Program/International Student Association
Q: Does your school have a Buddy Program or any?
A: No. Yet, our staff is ready to assist. We arrange an Introduction Session to introduce the campus and its surroundings, the regulations, services and facilities for students. You must attend this program. It is on the last Friday before the classes start. Trimesters always begin on Monday every intake in January, May, and September. Besides that we also offer Business Fun Games as an ice breaking program for new students. This will be held on Saturday or Sunday after the Introduction Session, the last week end before the classes start. You do not have to pay anything even you will be provided with lunch and drinking water and snacks for free.

Q: Does your school have International Student Association?
A: No, but we have student clubs referring to the subjects taken, such as, Human Resource Club, Marketing Club, Strategic Club, Finance Club, and so on. We also have sport clubs such as football (soccer) and futsal (mini football), badminton, and golf, out door tennis, basketball, and badminton. In addition, students have Moslem Students and Christian Students associations. Please visit our website www.mm.feb.ugm.ac.id and go to Community and Student Life.
In every August or September Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) holds an International Week which exposes many activities. One event so called International Day, gives opportunity to international students to promote their home institution and country.

5. Other information would like be provided
We recommend international students to rent a motorbike for their means of transportation during their stay. We also provide off campus accommodation information. Please make sure that international students hold a social visit visa to enter Indonesia territory. Tourist visa is not allowed for study purpose.
